Tirupati is a major pilgrimage and cultural city in the Chitoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is the largest urban agglomeration in the Rayalseema region. It is located at the foothills of the Eastern Ghats at a distance of 150 kilometres from Chennai and 250 kilometres from Bengaluru. It is one of the richest pilgrimage cities of any religious faith in the world.

TheTirumala Venkateswara Temple is located about 20 kilometres north- west of Tirupati in the Tirumala hills at an elevation of 853 metres. Revered as one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites, the temple draws 25-35 million pilgrims every year making it the busiest pilgrimage centre in the world. It is the second richest Hindu Temple in the world after Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram.

Tirumala Venkateswara Temple

is a famous Vedic temple in the hill town ofTirumala, near Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.  It is the richest temple in the world in terms of donations received and wealth, and the most-visited place of worship in the world.


Tiruchanur

Alamelu Mangapuram, is named after the Goddess Padmavati, who is the main deity of the Alamelu manga Temple which is located here.Alamelu mangapuram is located about 4 km from Tirupati central bus station and Tirupati Main railway station. 


Kapila Theertham

The Holy Temple of Kapila Theertham is the only temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in over a 50 mile radius of the holy temple cities of Tirupathi and Tirumala that abound with temples of the Vaishnavait Deity Vishnu.

It is famous for the historical fort, built in the 11th century, and the Raja mahal is located inChandragiri, Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.


Srikalahasti

Sri Kalahasti temple, situated 36 km away from Tirupati  is famous for its Vayu linga, one of the Panchabhoota Sthalams, representing wind.It is one of the most famous Shiva temples in South India, and is said to be the site where Kannappa was ready to offer both his eyes to cover blood flowing from the Siva linga before the Lord Shiva stopped him and granted him mukti.
