Mumbai also known as Bombay the official name until 1995) is the capital city of the Indian State of Maharashtra. It is the most populas city in India. Mumbai lies on the west coast of India and has a deep natural harbour. It is also the wealthiest city in India.

Mumbai consists of two distinct regions: Mumbai City district and Mumbai Suburban district, which form two separate revenue districts of Maharashtra. Mumbai has a tropical climate, specifically a tropical wet and dry climate under the Koppen climate classification,with seven months of dryness and peak of rains in July.Greater Mumbai, an area of 603 square kilometres consisting of the Mumbai city and Mumbai suburban districts, extends from Colaba in the south, to Mulund and Dahisar in the north, andMankhurd

Gateway of India

The Gateway of India was built to commemorate the visit of  King George V and Queen Mary to Mumbai, prior to the Delhi Durbar, in December 1911.The Gateway of India is a major tourist destination and a popular gathering spot for locals, street vendors and photographers.


Siddivinayak Temple

The Shree Siddivinayak Ganapathy Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Ganesha.The Siddhivinayak Mandir evolved from a small, tiny place of worship to the Grand Temple that stands today in the later half of the twentieth century.


Mahalaxmi Temple

The temple contains images of the goddesses Mahalakshmi, Mahakali and Mahasaraswati. During Navaratri celebrations, devotees from distant places throng to the temple, which is decorated for this occasion, to pay obeisance.


Marine Drive

Marine Drive  is a 'C'-shaped six-lane concreate road along the coast, which is a natural bay. Marine Drive is also known as the Queen's Necklace because, if viewed at night from an elevated point anywhere along the drive, the street lights resemble a string of pearls in a necklace.


Bandra -Worli Sea Link

The sunrise & sunset views attract many photo enthusiasts. Stopping on the Worli sea link for photography is banned by Govt of Maharashtra.

Nariman Point

Located on the southern tip of the Mumbai peninsula, at the end of the Mumbai's Marine Drive, Nariman Point is named afterKhursheed framji Nariman, a municipal corporator who had initiated the area's development as an extension to the Back Bay reclamation.


Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

 The station's name was changed to its present one in March 1996 and it is now known simply as CST (or CSTM).
