Port Blair is the largest town and a municipal council in Andaman district in the Andaman Islands and the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar islands,  a union territory of India. It lies on the east coast of South Andaman Island and is the main entry point to the islands.

  It is home to several museums and a major naval base INS Jarawa of the Indian Navy, along with sea and air bases of the Indian Coast Guard and the Indian Air Force. Port Blair is also famous for the historic Cellular Jail and other small islands which were once home to British colonists.

Jolly Buoy Island

This is located in Mahatma Gandhi National Park. Wandoor beach is 30 Kms from Port Blair by road. This route is same for visiting Red Skin island also. Both Jolly buoy and Red skin are located at Mahatma Gandhi National park. 

Cellular Jail

The construction of the prison started in 1896 and was completed in 1906. The original building was a puce-colored brick building. The bricks used to build the building were brought from Burma. The name, "cellular jail", derived from the solitary cells which prevented any prisoner from communicating with any other.

Ross Island

Ross Island can be reached by a short boat ride from water sports complex. The island is controlled by the Indian navy, which requires every visitor to sign in on entering.

Chidiya Tapu

 In Chidiyatapu, the sun actually sinks inside the sea but behind a small hill, and that is what makes the view unique.

Wandoor Beach

Wandoor is one of the closest beaches  with tourist access, since it lies in Port Blair. Expect a splash of colour during high season, with tourists dotting the pale sand. Boats to Jolly Buoy Island leave from here.

Corbyn's cove

Corbyn's Cove beach- the coconut-palm fringed beach, six kilometers away from Port Blair town is ideal for swimming and sun-basking. 

Andaman Watersports Complex

The water sports complex is the most popular destination in Port Blair for water sport activities. This place offers a lot of choices for both children and adults and could be a perfect way to spend a couple of hours during the summer. Water scooters, jet skis, speedboats and banana boat rides are available. A new bumping boat ride and water amusement park has been opened for children. 

Marine Park Aquarium

There is a chance for ecotourism on the islands Jolly Buoy and Red Skin which are open during some seasons offering glass bottom boats, scuba diving glass bottom boats, scuba diving and snokeling as a way to see the park's coral reefs and marine life.
