 Located in the foothills of the Himalayas  in northern India, it is known as the 'Gateway to the Garwal Himalayass and 'Yoga Capital of the World'.Hindu sages and saints have visited Rishikesh since ancient times to meditate in search of higher knowledge. Rishikesh is the starting point for travelling to the four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage places —Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.

Laksman Jhula

It was erected over the Ganges  river and is a landmark of Rishikesh.It is said that Lakshmana  crossed Ganges on jute ropes between the place where this bridge is built.

Ram Jhula

Ram jhula is located 3 kilometres  north of Rishikesh at Muni Ki Reti. There are some of the Hindu ashrams and religious centers like "Gita Bhawan", and "Swargashram" located here.

Neelkanth Mahadev temple

The temple is one of the most revered holy shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a prominent Hindu pilgrimage site. It is surrounded by dense forests and is adjacent to the mountain ranges of Nar-Narayan.
